Stop sending your female children to school – Man tells parents

A young Nigerian man has advised parents to stop sending their daughters to school if they cannot afford the fees.

In a viral video on social media, the man said, “Nigerian parents, if you guys know that you can not afford the school fees of your female children, abeg make una no dey send female children to school.”

He advised that instead of sending a girl to school without proper support, the little money available should be used to establish her by sending her to learn a trade.

For clarity, he explained that it is better to train a girl in a trade, open a shop for her, and make sure she becomes good at what she does, rather than sending her to school and leaving her stranded.

The man said some parents force their children into tertiary institutions but leave them without financial support, which makes them look for other means to survive.

According to him, this has pushed many girls into becoming victims of yahoo boys, ritualists, and other dangerous paths. Some even turn to runs girls, hookups, and similar things.

He lamented that even while some girls are in school, instead of receiving money from their parents, they end up sending money back home.

In conclusion, he said parents who know they cannot fully afford school fees should rather send their daughters to learn a trade.
