Starbucks Heard Us: Apple Crisp Is Coming Back This Fall

Although the temperature outside might still say summer, the season of cozy sweaters, spooky decorations, and all things pumpkin is fully upon us. If you ask Starbucks, however, the autumn season officially began weeks ago. After all, the coffee giant’s beloved fall drinks made their long-awaited return back in August. The iconic PSL—and several other fall-themed beverages and treats—hit stores on August 26, but one fan-favorite flavor from past years didn’t make the cut. Now, after some major pushback, Starbucks is reversing course. Read on for everything you need to know about the long-awaited return of Apple Crisp to the Starbucks fall drinks lineup.

Is Starbucks bringing back Apple Crisp?

Back in July, Starbucks announced the launch date of its fall drinks via press release and shared a sneak peek at the menu. Although the PSL is obviously their big claim to fame, fans were quick to note that Apple Crisp—which was previously available in Shaken Espresso, Oatmilk Macchiato, and Nondairy Cream Chai versions—wasn’t mentioned in the promotional materials. After a user commented on Starbucks’ Instagram post asking whether Apple Crisp would be returning, the official Starbucks account responded, “not this year.” The comments section immediately blew up with fans clamoring for its return, but when the menu officially launched on August 26, Apple Crisp was still nowhere to be seen.

It was a blow for pumpkin-haters everywhere, and since then, the pressure campaign has not let up. The comments section of nearly every Starbucks post on Instagram is full of calls to “bring back Apple Crisp.” One commenter even vowed, “We won’t stop until Apple Crisp returns.”

The people have spoken, and it appears that Starbucks is (finally) listening. The company just announced that Apple Crisp will return to stores on October 14. The Iced Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espresso—which features Starbucks Blonde Espresso with notes of apple, cinnamon, and brown sugar—is officially returning to the fall menu, along with Apple Crisp Cream Cold Foam, which can be added to any cold beverage. New for this year, fans can also customize their order with Apple Crisp Protein Cold Foam, which adds an additional 15 grams of protein per grande.

What else is on the Starbucks fall menu?

Heading up the fall menu is, of course, the beloved Pumpkin Spice Latte, a fall mainstay for more than 20 years. The Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Tea Latte, which was inspired by a secret-menu concoction, is also back this year, along with the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew (my personal fave).

This year, Starbucks also launched a new drink: the Pecan Oatmilk Cortado. Served in an 8-ounce cup, it features three shots of Blonde Espresso, flavored with pecan, brown butter, and holiday baking spices, and topped with steamed oatmilk. It’s essentially a smaller, more concentrated version of the Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte, a new item from last year that’s back again for 2025.

On the food side of things, the menu includes classics like the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin, Pumpkin & Pepita Loaf, and the Racoon Cake Pop. To snack on alongside your favorite fall beverage, you can also order the new Italian Sausage Egg Bites, which are cooked sous vide-style and combine eggs, Italian sausage, sundried tomato pesto, basil, and Monterey jack cheese.
