Gold explained that Shatner himself placed a call for emergency medical assistance as a precautionary measure, leading paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department to arrive at his residence in an ambulance. Eyewitnesses confirmed that Shatner was transported to a nearby hospital, where doctors carried out evaluations to ensure his health was stable. After receiving treatment and observation, he was discharged and allowed to return home later the same evening.
