The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore, has condemned the court order preventing supporters of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, from staging a rally at the Lekki Tollgate in Lagos State on October 1.

He expressed his displeasure with the order on his Twitter handle after the Federal High Court in Lagos ordered the party and its supporters not to gather at the Lekki Tollgate on Wednesday.

Sowore went on to say that his rejection of the court's decision does not imply that he is endorsing any candidate for the 2023 election other than himself.

He tweeted, “It is completely wrong for anyone to have gone to court to stifle a legitimate political gathering by #PeterObi supporters at #Lekkitollgate and equally dangerous that a judge gave an order stopping the gathering. It is a matter of time before a crazy injunction is granted that opposition groups can’t campaign in #OfficialAPCNg stronghold. I totally condemn these acts."
