Skoda Octavia RS Launched at Rs 49.99 Lakh — Limited 100 Units Sold Out

Skoda India launches the Skoda Octavia RS in India at Rs 49.99 lakh — 265hp, 2.0L turbo, limited to 100 units.

Skoda has brought the flagship Octavia RS to India with a steep performance focus and a premium equipment list, pricing the fully imported performance sedan at Rs 49.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The company opened order books on October 6 for a strictly limited allocation of 100 units — and every car has already been accounted for ahead of the launch.

Under the bonnet, the Skoda Octavia RS uses Volkswagen Group’s well-known EA888 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine tuned to deliver 265hp and 370Nm, mated to a 7-speed DSG that channels power to the front wheels. Skoda claims a 0–100kph sprint in 6.4 seconds and a governed top speed of 250kph, while a sports exhaust is standard equipment. There’s no Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) on the India-spec car.

The Skoda Octavia RS gets a clearly sporty makeover with chiselled bumpers, blacked-out exterior trim, RS badging, a lip spoiler and 19-inch aero-optimised alloy wheels. Buyers can choose from five exterior colours, including Candy White, Magic Black, Mamba Green, Race Blue and Velvet Red, paired with an all-black cabin trimmed with red contrast stitching and sports seats for a driver-centric feel.

Skoda has equipped the RS with a high-end tech and safety package aimed at Indian buyers seeking both performance and refinement. Highlights include a 13-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital driver display, an 11-speaker Canton sound system, 360-degree camera, Matrix LED headlights, wireless smartphone integration and a comprehensive safety kit that features 10 airbags and adaptive cruise control. Comfort features such as heated, powered front seats with massage, three-zone climate control and advanced assist systems round off the offering.
