Osuya & Osuya Law Firm has been officially appointed as the Resource Consulting Law Firm for a one-week intensive training workshop on Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA) trade negotiations in Nigeria’s aviation sector.

The appointment, made by international partner Ocean Channels International, highlights the firm’s expertise in aviation law and international trade. The workshop, titled “BASA Negotiations in the Aviation Sector: Aligning with Nigeria’s Policies on Liberalisation,” will run from October 20 to 25, 2025, and is tailored for staff of the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, and NIMET.

The training is designed to enhance the institutional capacity of key aviation stakeholders, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of the legal frameworks governing international air transport and BASA negotiations.

Attendees will also learn established protocols and negotiation strategies critical for advancing Nigeria’s position in global aviation.

By equipping stakeholders with these skills, the workshop aims to expand Nigeria’s international travel routes and strengthen the country’s leadership in global aviation and air transport.
