Senate president Godswill Akpabio speaks over trending allegations of having multiple side chics, tenders public apology (Video)

Nigeria’s Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has responded to the allegations circulating about him having multiple mistresses.

The controversy started when a popular blogger, Gistlover, named several women, including Nancy Isime, Hilda Baci, Wanneka, Ini Edo, and Dakore Egbuson, as alleged sidechicks of the Senate President.

This is the blogger’s way of protesting against Godswill Akpabio’s “reckless” manner of speaking to female lawmakers in the National Assembly. This week, when PDP’s Natasha Hadiza Akpoti spoke in the chamber, Akpabio cautioned her, saying she needs permission to speak because they are not in a nightclub.

Gistlover stated that unless he apologizes, the blog will release all the details of his mistresses and the businesses he has funded for them.

However, in a new video, Akpabio referenced a previous conversation with Senator Natasha Akpoti, which he believes was misinterpreted and caused an online uproar.

He stated that his wife received an influx of calls and messages as a result.

Expressing his surprise at the attention Nigerians have shown towards Senate affairs, Akpabio clarified that he is happily married to one wife and has no interest in any other woman.

The Senate President also extended an apology to Senator Natasha if his previous statement had caused any offense to her.
