Senate Deputy Chief Whip Flags Off Construction of Internal Roads

The Senate Deputy Chief Whip, Senator Onyekachi Nwebonyi has flagged off construction of internal roads within his constituency, including Eze Sunday Oketa Road and other adjoining roads at Orokeonuoha in Ebonyi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

The roads are to be constructed on concrete pavements, according to the Distinguished Senator.

Nwebonyi who is representing Ebonyi North Senatorial district at the Red Chamber had during a courtesy visit on His Royal Highness Eze Sunday Oketa on December 17, 2023 promised to construct the road leading to his palace from the old Enugu- Abakaliki expressway, Ugwuachara axis to the adjoining bridge at the extreme end.

He also requested one of Chief Oketa’s sons to submit his CV for automatic employment at the Nigerian Navy Direct Service Course.

The Monarch who received Senator Nwebonyi with much aplomb had commended him on his giant strides at the National Assembly and assured of his royal blessings and fatherly support always.

He recalled their longstanding cordial relationship and expressed gratitude for the road construction and employment of his son.

With the swift pace of work on the road, it’s expected that the project will be delivered before the end of the yuletide season.

Senator Nwebonyi has continued to touch on all aspects of the needs of his constituents.

It was gathered that yesterday that one of his constituents, Mr Frank Uchenna Otsu casually requested for a tricycle on a WhatsApp platform of the Distinguished Senator and the compassionate Federal lawmaker immediately directed his Aide to take his details for onward delivery of the tricycle to him.

Recall that on Friday 15 December, 2023, the Senator was at the grand finale of the training and empowerment of hundreds of women and youths from his constituency on modern agriculture at the Remeritona hotel, Abakaliki.

According to the Senator, that is just a tip of the iceberg as mega empowerments will be coming up on January 7, 2024 in his country home, Mbeke Ishieke, Ebonyi Local Government Area of the State.
