Anyone who cared to read my texts recently knows how worried I am about the durability of battery packs. After all, if they fail for any reason, the battery electric vehicles (BEVs) that they power will also be doomed. Currently, nickel manganese cobalt (NMC, also called NCM) cells should retain at least 80% capacity after 2,000 cycles to be suitable for automotive use.
