“Launched the construction of 42-Kilometre Kasarani-Kongoni-Olkaria and Ndabibi access roads in Ndabibi, Nakuru County. The project road will provide a shorter, more reliable and cost effective link to Nakuru, improving connectivity, boost tourism, support agriculture and expand export opportunities, thereby driving local and national economic growth.” Ruto said

What caught the attention of netizens was the massive turnout of Nakuru residents at President Ruto’s rallies in the region. According to photos shared on his social media accounts, the President’s visit brought business to a standstill as hundreds of locals attended his rally.

Nakuru, a vote-rich region, is expected to be a major battleground between President William Ruto and the opposition, led by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

As the 2027 General Election draws closer, the President is seeking to solidify his support in the region, having enjoyed massive backing in the previous election.

Could the huge number of supporters who showed up at President Ruto’s Nakuru rallies be a sign of his strong command in the region?
