Rumors for the Day:

  • Andrew Zarian claims he was told there is a “mega main event” planned for the special July 17 episode of AEW Dynamite. He did stress, however, that “it could be bullshit.”
  • According to Fightful Select, Will Ospreay was frustrated by the idea that Swerve Strickland’s title reign is viewed as a placeholder until he wins the belt at All In, and he was the one who went to AEW higher ups to get the match made for Forbidden Door so he could put Swerve over. What’s more, they both have different opponents scheduled for All In.
  • PW Insider says there was a lot of praise within AEW for the Mercedes Mone vs. Stephanie Vaquer match at Forbidden Door.
  • They also say Mone’s story from the post-show scrum about George Clooney sending her a bottle of tequila at the event was “100-percent legitimate.”
  • It’s still unclear the nature of Lio Rush’s injury, says Insider, but Brody King is NOT injured.
  • Fightful notes that MVP is still under contract with WWE “as of now.”
