Rumor Roundup (Feb. 5, 2026): WWE Saudi plans, AEW additions, Triple H/Rock beef, more!
Nikki and Brie Bella pose after reuniting in WWE at Royal Rumble Riyadh

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that — rumors. None of this has been confirmed as fact, it’s just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. We track rumor accuracy in a weekly feature called Rumor Look Back you can find here. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • WWE has two more PLEs planned for Saudi Arabia this year after last weekend’s Royal Rumble, reports PW Insider,
  • According to Fightful Select, AEW’s signed “a number of talent” that they haven’t announced yet. In particular, Sean Ross Sapp writes there are “additions to be made to the women’s roster fairly soon.”
  • We’re passing the salt with this item as you may want to take it with multiple grains, but Jonathan Coachman said on The Coach & Bro Show that Roman Reigns’ comments to Pat McAfee last week were “a direct shot” at Triple H. Vince Russo went farther, theorizing that the criticism actually came from The Rock and saying he’s “1000% convinced” Triple H won’t be in his current role by Jan. 1, 2027.
  • In multiple interviews this week like the one they did Tuesday on Notsam Live! , The Bella Twins have credited Nick Khan with finally making Brie’s WWE return happen, and revealed they’ve been getting coaching from Bryan Danielson.
  • Royce Keys was backstage at Raw Monday night, per Bodyslam.net. But the site says the former Powerhouse Hobbs will be on the SmackDown roster going forward.
  • Speaking of Hobbs/Keys, Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio earlier this week that AEW made a five-year offer to the big man that was described as “not like a top 10 offer in the company or anything like but it was a good offer”. Meltzer doesn’t know what WWE offered, but believes Keys decided he was signing there there a while ago.
  • The reason Kazuchika Okada had the AEW International title in a bag on Collision last Saturday was because the actual belt was stolen along with Okada’s gear. That from Fightful.
