Real Madrid plot 100m move for Osimhen to reshape attack

Osimhen’s contract situation and his impressive form at Galatasaray have intensified Madrid’s interest, with the Spanish giants now evaluating his signing as a top priority.

According to Fichajes, Osimhen’s arrival would allow Mbappé to “reclaim the freedom on the left that made him decisive in his best years,” while giving the team a clear, dependable focal point inside the box.

However, negotiations are expected to be complicated. Galatasaray, who spent €75 million to sign Osimhen from Napoli, are unlikely to sanction his departure without a significant financial return.

Fichajes highlighted the challenge: “The main obstacle to Osimhen’s signing is Galatasaray itself. The Turkish club paid €75m to acquire him from Napoli and is unlikely to allow his departure without a financial return matching his sporting impact.”

The report adds that, “Real Madrid expects the deal could easily exceed €100m, particularly if other top European clubs express interest. The Galatasaray board believes it can recoup—and even exceed—its investment, potentially making Osimhen one of the most lucrative sales of the market.”

For Real Madrid, such an investment is considered strategic, with the club expecting the Nigerian forward to have an immediate impact on both results and overall attacking structure.

The potential move is also linked to the uncertainty surrounding Vinicius Junior, who has reportedly told Real Madrid he will not extend his contract unless changes are implemented at the club. His strained relationship with Alonso — marked by public clashes, including during last month’s El Clásico — could open the door for Mbappé to take permanent control of the left flank, creating space for Osimhen to lead the line.

Fichajes also suggested the transfer could have widespread implications across LaLiga and the broader European market: “Osimhen’s signing would increase the global appeal of the league, intensify pressure on domestic rivals, and trigger a chain reaction in the European transfer market.”
