Political Group Rallies APC Unity in Guyuk–Shelleng, Intensifies Grassroots Mobilisation

A political aspirant for the House of Representatives seat in the Guyuk–Shelleng Federal Constituency, Golfa Mallim, has convened a high-level unity stakeholders’ meeting to strengthen the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the area ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The meeting brought together longstanding APC members and new entrants from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), with the aim of harmonising strategies, fostering greater cooperation, and reinforcing the party’s structure across Guyuk and Shelleng Local Government Areas.

Participants described the gathering as the first of its kind in Guyuk Local Government Area, noting that it marked a significant political turning point for the constituency and demonstrated a renewed commitment to unity within the party.

Golfa Mallim, who recently defected to the APC, reiterated her full support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and pledged to mobilise massive grassroots support to ensure the party’s success in the forthcoming elections.

As part of her ongoing mobilisation efforts, she led a team on a house-to-house campaign to drive the APC e-registration exercise, significantly expanding the party’s membership base in the constituency.

She further expressed strong commitment to supporting the political alignment of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri with the APC, stressing that inclusiveness, unity, and collaboration would remain the guiding principles of her political engagement.

Golfa’s growing influence in the constituency has been attributed to her consistent humanitarian efforts and community-focused projects, even though she currently holds no political office.

Her presence was also prominent at the grand reception organised for Governor Fintiri, which was attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima.

Residents of Guyuk–Shelleng have commended her accessibility and responsiveness to their needs, pledging their support for both her aspiration and the APC’s victory in the 2027 general elections.
