A Somalian athlete, Nasra Ali Abukar has come under fire for her performance in a 100m race as she clocks the 'slowest-ever' time after finishing 10 seconds behind other athletes at the World University Games in China.

In the viral video, Abukar ran the distance in 21.81 seconds, some 10 seconds behind fellow competitors, and was seen skipping across the finish line.

She participated at the WUG women's 100 metres in Chengdu, China, Daily Mail reported on Wednesday.

The race has sparked questions as to why Somalia would send an underprepared athlete to compete in such a major event.
