PDP Chieftain Accuses APC of Using Hunger as a Political Weapon

The National Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the South-South, Emmanuel Ogidi, has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of deliberately using hunger to weaken Nigerians and influence politics.

Speaking on Arise TV’s “Prime Time” programme, Ogidi said hardship has become a tool of control under the current government.

The APC has used hunger to weaponize the people even PDP members. People are suffering. We know why some of our members are defecting, but we believe they’ll return,” he stated.

Ogidi also addressed internal party concerns over the PDP’s upcoming National Convention scheduled for November, assuring that all preparations follow due process.

We are in court, yes, but why panic? If we have done the right thing, the court will uphold justice. I’m confident our convention will hold,” he added.

The PDP leader emphasized that Nigeria’s opposition must remain united despite current challenges, insisting that hunger and frustration should not be tools of political manipulation. <div class= Read Original
