Patrick Doyle Suffers Tragic Loss Of First Child With New Wife

Veteran Nollywood actor Patrick Doyle has announced the heartbreaking passing of his newborn daughter, Omayinuwa, just a day after revealing her birth.

The actor had earlier shared joyful news on Saturday that he and his wife, Olufunmilayo, had welcomed a baby girl, before later disclosing that the child died shortly after her arrival.

In a deeply emotional Facebook post, Doyle reflected on the brief time he spent with his daughter and the joy she brought before her passing.

“Omayinuwa visited us briefly at about 10:40 am on Friday 10th April and returned to heaven on Saturday 11th of April at about 4:15 pm. Her stay was short but it brought great joy with it. We would wished for a longer stay, but alas heaven thought otherwise,” he wrote.

He further added: “This much we know though, God still rules in the affairs of men. Our faith in the goodness of God remains resolute regardless. Sibe’ sibe’ Oluwa n’be’. It is well with our soul.”

The cause of death was not made public.

Patrick Doyle was previously married to actress Ireti Doyle, with the marriage ending in 2023. He later tied the knot with Olufunmilayo, publicly confirming their union in 2023.
