The Olubadan Palace, with deep sorrow, announces the transition of the Osi Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Olubunmi Isioye-Dada, who passed on to glory peacefully on Friday after a brief illness.

In a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Ayoade Solomon Olugbemiga, the palace announced an adjustment to upcoming royal proceedings to honour the memory of the revered late monarch.

Consequently, the installation of Mogajis and Baales, originally scheduled for Monday, 15th June 2026, has been postponed. The ceremony will now be held on Monday, 22nd June, 2026.

His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja (Arusa 1), the Olubadan of Ibadanland, along with the members of the Olubadan-in-Council, extends heartfelt commiserations to the immediate family, indigenes, and residents of Ibadanland. His Imperial Majesty described the demise of the traditional ruler as a significant loss to the ancient city.

Until his transition, Oba Olubunmi Isioye-Dada was a highly valued member of the Olubadan-in-Council, where he served with dedication as the Osi Balogun of Ibadanland. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
