A former presidential candidate under the Young Progressives Party Adamu Garba says the release of Nnamdi Kanu may be the end of Peter Obi’s “Obidient” movement.

Adamu who is now a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) wondered what Peter Obi’s manifesto will be with the recent Appeal Court verdict on Nnamdi Kanu.

He said the IPOB leader’s release may well be the final coffin of the Labor Party.

Garba wrote, “With the recent Appeal Court decision on Nnamdi Kanu, I don’t know what Peter Obi’s manifesto will be. Or is this the end of the euphoria?

Nnamdi Kanu’s release may well be the final coffin of the Labor Party.”

TNN reported that Kanu’s lead counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, on Thursday said the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has “discharged and acquitted” the IPOB leader of terrorism charges pressed against him by the Federal Government.

However, the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, in a statement by his spokesperson, Dr Umar Jibril Gwandu, said the appeal court only discharged Kanu and did not acquit him.
