Nigeria's 65: Be A Blessing To People, Don't Finance Irresponsibility — Didi-Omah To Nigerians

One of things, I will say to Nigerians as we are celebrating our 65th independence anniversary this day: Wednesday, October 1st, 2025.

Nigeria is celebrating its 65th independence anniversary in 2025, having gained independence in 1960.

My word is we should be a blessing to people around us, to nations around us, we must not finance irresistibility. Be a blessing to people, don't finance irresponsibility.

Many people are busy asking what has Nigeria done for them, what has the government of Nigeria given to me, why will I celebrate its independence. A poor man at peace is better than a rich man at war. Adonay has given us peace, and many resources to be grateful for. It is our responsibility to utilise these resources and embrace the peace to our uplifting and growth.

The government is to regulate, the businesses is to develop — we are the weath of this nation. Agriculture, clothing and real estate, should be our primary focus as AI and solar powered is taking over. We should less be dependent on oil and gas, and politics. We should but God first, believe in Jesus Christ, value education, invest in knowledge and not in acquisition of certificates or degrees.

We must improve on having soft skills, not just technical skills. I will have to say, no day was a government better, it is just time and chances happen to everyone. We must take the lead as good people, and great nation — Nigeria. Nigeria is our land, Africa is our heritage, we must own the industries, the operations and not being the consumers but more on producing.

A good soilder does not ask 'what have my country done for me', rather he ask 'what should I do for my country to make it a better place than I met it'. That should be our question, our thoughts, and being a good Nigerian. The future is now, the past is forever gone and the present is just yesterday. We must believe that there is money to be made in Nigeria, for we to see the wealth. I love Nigeria, I will not leave Nigeria until God tell me to do so. We must be in unity, one voice, one people and have one believe — if we want to be great. Put God first, believe in Jesus Christ. Be a blessing to people, don't finance irresponsibility.
