Nigeria U15s begin training, set for Morocco, Spain, Argentina tourneys

The Nigeria U15s, better known as the Future Stars, have begun training in Abuja ahead of several international engagements this year.

Patrick Bassey has also been named coach of the team.

A top official told SCORENigeria that scouts selected a total of 35 players from various age-grade competitions across the country recently.

Coach Bassey will make his final selection of 21 players from this list.

The first mission of the U15s will be an invitational tournament that will involve England in Morocco.

The week-long tournament will begin on March 18.

The Future Stars are also scheduled to feature in a La Liga tournament in Spain next month, while they will also participate at a world football festival for U15s under the auspices of FIFA.

The global festival will be hosted by Argentina between June and July.
