Nasir El-rufai Sparks Outrage By His Comment On Reno Omokri Amid His Nomination For Ambassador

Former governor of Kaduna State and opposition leader, Nasir El-rufai has described controversial former presidential aide, Reno Omokri as an agent of propaganda.

Nasir El-rufai pointed out that people like Reno Omokri have become relevant in the government of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu due to the administration’s love for propaganda and its ineptitude. He insinuated that the services of people like Reno Omokri are secured by the Tinubu’s administration for online propaganda and lies – to front unreal statistics on infrastructure, economy, and insecurity
for the underperforming government of president Tinubu.

“ Reno Omkori is a PR consultant and online influencer. It is a new profession thriving in the Renewed Hope era because propaganda can build infrastructure, eliminate insecurity and address our economic challenges”.

Nasir El-rufai added that the government of president Bola Ahmed does not value competence and people of integrity, alleging that the government is full of people with questionable records and reputation.

” The only qualifications needed to be on their payroll are moral flexibility, total shamelessness, selective amnesia, wretched upbringing and ntense craving for quick and easy money. The future doesn’t matter. Integrity is debatable”, he stated.

There have been mixed reactions to the nomination of Reno Omokri by the Tinubu’s administration for ambassadorial appointment owing to his past comments about president Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Reno Omokri had previously accused president Bola Ahmed Tinubu of being a fraudster, drûg dealer, and a certificate fôrger. He also led several protests against Tinubu in the United Kingdom, calling for the international community to recognize Tinubu for who he is.

However, since president Tinubu’s ascension to the presidential seat, Reno Omokri became one of his forefront defenders online. He recently renounced all his previous allegations against president Tinubu, comparing the president to Jesus Christ following his nomination for ambassador.

Nasir El-rufai on the other hand, was instrumental to the electoral victory of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2023. However, he fell out with the president due to his failed ministerial screening in the Nigeria’s senate. Nasir El-rufai is currently among the prominent politicians seeking to defeat president Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election via coalition of political parties.
