The facility operator at the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal II,  Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited has informed the general public of the increase in Car Parking spaces and Lounge service prices at the Lagos terminal.

According to the Service, this new operation will take effect beginning 1st November 2023, where users of the Lagos terminal will pay between N500 to N5,000 for a parking space depending on the length of their stay. For the VIP lounge area, there’ll also be a 33% tariff increase.

This price increase is coming only three months after the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) increased the Lagos Airport toll fees by 50%.

Beginning from November 1st, 2023, a 30-minute car parking at the airport will attract N500. This was the initial rate for an hour of parking at the terminal. The first 90 minutes will attract a price of N1,000, while the subsequent 30-minute intervals will attract N100 (up to the fourth hour).

The new tariff also notes that overnight parking attracts a fee of N5,000. This used to only cost N3,500.

Following the tariff increment, the Head of Spaces and Premises for BASL, Kola Bamigboye has justified the fees stating that the car park rates have been modified to align with the ongoing efforts to maintain and upgrade the facilities.

He also noted that the revised car park pricing structure will consider those who use the Multi-storey Car Park for less than 30 minutes, thus enhancing user convenience.
