Myntra co-founder Mukesh Bansal's Nurix AI acquires Verloop.io to expand voice and chat automation

Nurix AI has announced the acquisition of enterprise conversational AI firm Verloop.io, as the Bengaluru-based startup looks to expand its voice and chat automation offering for businesses in India and the Middle East.

The companies did not disclose the financial terms of the deal.

The acquisition will bring Verloop.io’s chat automation capabilities together with NuPlay, Nurix AI’s voice AI platform. Nurix said the deal will help enterprises deploy AI agents across voice, chat and emerging AI-native channels for customer engagement and business workflows.

Founded in 2024 and led by Bansal, Nurix AI builds autonomous AI software and agents for enterprise workflows. The startup is backed by General Catalyst, Accel and Prosus.

Nurix AI raised $27.5 million in seed and Series A funding in September 2024, in a round co-led by General Catalyst and Accel with participation from Meraki Labs. It later secured Rs 135 crore in fresh funding, with Prosus joining its cap table, according to media reports.

Verloop.io, founded by Gaurav Singh, provides conversational AI tools for customer engagement across digital channels. The startup said it powers more than 20 million customer interactions every month across sectors including banking, financial services, retail and telecommunications.

Singh will join Nurix AI’s leadership team after the acquisition, where he will help shape product strategy, enterprise go-to-market initiatives and the development of next-generation AI agents.

“Over the last decade we’ve learned that enterprises don’t struggle to understand the possibilities of AI, but they struggle to deploy it reliably at scale,” Singh said.

“Together with Nurix AI, we have exactly the kind of agentic platform we believe the market needs, and together we can dramatically accelerate how quickly enterprises adopt autonomous AI across the customer lifecycle,” he said.

According to Nurix AI, the acquisition will strengthen its ability to support businesses using AI agents for both real-time voice interactions and chat-based customer journeys.

Following the transaction, Verloop.io will operate as part of Nurix AI. The companies have not disclosed further product integration plans.
