More Than 12,000 Gifted Students Complete Mawhiba Summer Programs Across Five Countries

Saudi Arabia’s King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) has concluded its 2026 summer programs after bringing together more than 12,000 gifted students from across the Kingdom in an extensive educational initiative spanning 19 cities in five countries.

The programs were designed to strengthen innovation, scientific research, and advanced technology skills while preparing talented students to contribute to Saudi Arabia’s knowledge-based economy and the goals of Vision 2030.

Partnerships With 53 Leading Academic Institutions

This year’s programs were hosted by 53 universities, research centers, and specialized educational institutions across Saudi Arabia, China, Japan, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

These partnerships provided participants with access to advanced learning environments, international expertise, and practical educational experiences focused on scientific excellence and innovation.

Future-Focused Educational Programs

Mawhiba Summer 2026 featured a broad range of enrichment programs, including academic and research enrichment, international educational initiatives, technology-focused courses, and specialized training in video game development.

International opportunities included an artificial intelligence program in China delivered in partnership with Huawei, the Mawhiba Ambassadors Program in the United States and the United Kingdom, and additional academic initiatives in Japan.

These experiences were designed to expose students to global best practices while strengthening their academic and professional development.

88 Enrichment Modules Across Emerging Fields

Students participated in 88 enrichment modules covering diverse disciplines such as human health, energy, industry, leadership, environmental sustainability, and future economies.

The curriculum combined theoretical learning with practical applications to develop critical thinking, teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills that are increasingly important in today’s rapidly evolving workforce.

AI, Programming, and Advanced Technologies

Mawhiba also partnered with the Saudi Digital Academy to deliver specialized training in programming, artificial intelligence, Python, video game development, and other digital technologies.

New modules introduced students to robotics, blockchain, financial technology (FinTech), space science, environmental sustainability, and sports physics, providing hands-on exposure to industries expected to shape the global economy in the coming decades.

Supporting Saudi Arabia’s Future Talent

The foundation emphasized that the summer programs reflect the Kingdom’s ongoing commitment to discovering, nurturing, and empowering gifted students through high-quality educational opportunities delivered in collaboration with leading academic and research institutions.

By investing in scientific talent from an early age, Mawhiba continues to play a key role in developing the next generation of Saudi innovators, researchers, entrepreneurs, and technology leaders who will contribute to the nation’s long-term economic and scientific development.
