MOAUM Matriculation Ceremony 2025/2026 Details

Reverend Father Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi, MOAUM, has fixed the 33rd matriculation ceremony for fresh undergraduate students for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, 22 April 2026, at the New Convocation Square. The stated time is 9.00 am.

MOAUM matriculation ceremony details

The event will bring in fresh undergraduates for the new session. The notice also sets out duties for Senate Members, Deans, Heads of Department, Faculty Officers, and new students.

Date, time and venue

The matriculation ceremony will hold as follows:

• Date: Wednesday, 22 April 2026
• Time: 9.00 am
• Venue: New Convocation Square

Procession and attendance

All Principal Officers and Members of Senate will process for the ceremony. Heads of Units and other staff members have also been asked to attend.

Members of Senate are requested to report at the New Convocation Square by 9.00 am, while the procession will begin by 10.00 am prompt.

Orientation for fresh undergraduates

The university has also fixed orientation for registered students ahead of the matriculation ceremony.

Orientation dates and venue

The orientation exercise is slated for Monday, 20 April, and Tuesday, 21 April 2026, at the New Convocation Square.

The Orientation Committee will release details of the exercise.

Lecture-free days for fresh students

The days fixed for orientation and matriculation will be lecture-free for fresh undergraduates.

Registration and list of qualified students

Deans and Heads of Department are expected to liaise with the Directorate of ICT or Faculty ICT staff to access the list of registered students in their Faculties and Departments.

They are to ensure that all qualified candidates in their various programmes are properly registered.

Matriculation gown collection and payment details

Faculty Officers are to begin issuing matriculation gowns to registered students in their Faculties from Friday, 17 April 2026.

Each student is required to collect a matriculation gown after payment of a non-refundable fee of N2000.00.

Students are to pay the fee into either of these accounts:

How students will collect gowns

Candidates are to present the bank receipt to their Faculty Officers for collection of the gowns. Faculty Officers are to keep receipts of gowns issued to candidates.

The Academic Office is to issue the required matriculation gowns to Faculty Officers for onward lease to registered fresh students who have paid the N2000.00 fee.

Return of gowns and late return fine

Fresh students are expected to return matriculation gowns to their Faculty Officers for onward submission to the Academic Office on or before Friday, 1 May 2026.

Late return of gowns will attract a fine of N500.00 per day, payable to the Bursary Department of the University.

What fresh students must download

All fresh students are to download the Matriculation Oath and University Anthem from the MOAUM University Portal and bring them to the orientation and matriculation ceremony.
