MOAUM ban on signing-out celebrations on campus

Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi (MOAUM) has stopped all signing-out celebrations on campus. This clear rule comes from the school Management. It aims to keep the campus calm, safe, and fair for every student, especially during exams.  All students are expected to know this ban and respect it at all times.

Why MOAUM has stopped signing-out celebrations

Signing-out celebrations used to bring loud music, shouting, and bright display of clothes and items. These events often take place close to exam rooms and reading areas.

The noise and show can pull the mind of other students away from their papers. Many students still sit for exams while final-year students plan to mark their last day. This mix of loud fun and serious tests does not work well for a study space.

The Management also sees that large crowds make the school grounds busy and hard to control. When crowds gather quickly, staff and security find it harder to watch movement and keep order. This raises the risk of trouble and makes it more difficult to keep everyone safe.

The ban covers every kind of signing-out activity by graduating students on campus.

This includes:

• Any group signing-out event on school grounds
• Any form of signing-out display that draws crowds or noise
• Any act linked to signing-out that can disturb exams or campus peace

If an activity is linked to signing-out and happens on campus, students should treat it as banned, even if it seems small.

Respect for students writing exams

Many students still have exams when others finish. They need a quiet space to read, think, and write.

When loud celebrations start near exam halls or reading rooms, students can lose focus. Some may forget key points or feel anxious. This can harm their exam scores and future plans.
