Lookman’s Atalanta sack coach Juric

Ademola Lookman will now play under a new manager at Atalanta after the Serie A club announced the departure of head coach Ivan Juric on Monday.

The decision comes a day after Atalanta’s 3–0 home defeat to Sassuolo, which left the Bergamo outfit sitting 13th in the Serie A table with only two wins from 11 matches.

Juric, who replaced Gian Piero Gasperini in the summer, oversaw a difficult start to the campaign, including two straight losses following six consecutive league draws.

The Croatian tactician also made headlines last week after a heated touchline row with Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman during Atalanta’s UEFA Champions League match.

Former Monza and Fiorentina boss Raffaele Palladino is reportedly the leading candidate to take over the reins at the club.
