Have you ever dreamed of driving a Porsche 911 on snow and ice in the Arctic Circle? If you have, then a new driving experience announced by Kalmar Beyond Adventure could be right up your alley.

The tour company is working alongside Kalmar Automotive, a maker of modified Porsche 911s, to offer enthusiasts the experience of a lifetime in Rovaniemi throughout January. The events are held at remote rally driving facilities that include rally, super, and rallycross stages that are used by WRC teams during testing.

Attendees will have a handful of different modified 911s at their disposal. For example, there will be air-cooled 964 and 993 models as well as water-cooled 996-generation 911s waiting to be pushed to their limits on the snow and ice. Kalmar has also modified a Cayman R for use by guests. The company says that all of its Porsches are lighter than the cars they are based around while also featuring competition specification suspension, sports seats, belts, roll cages, and underbody protection. Driving enthusiasts will be pleased to know that all of them have manual transmissions and are fitted with WRC-spec studded tires.

Three different programs are available. The first, known as Arctic Control, helps master the art of driving on ice with the help of experienced driving tutors, including rally legend Marcus Grönholm, over a period of two days. Those with a bit more expertise can sign up for the Arctic Race program which will push their driving skills to new heights and even include lessons on how to understand rally pace notes. Kalmar also offers a bespoke Arctic Team program for groups wanting to create a bespoke experience.

All guests stay at the private Glass Resort Premium Lodge with an experienced chef. Each experience is spread out over four days and includes two seven-hour driving days.

Bookings are now open but you’ll have to reach out to Kalmar directly to get specific pricing for the program you want to enroll in.
