Lauretta Onochie Reacts To What Atiku Said After Senate Approved Manual Collation As Backup In 2027

One of the chieftains of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Lauretta Onochie has taken to her official X account on February 10, 2026 to react to the comment that Atiku Abubakar made after Senate approved manual collation as backup for electronic transmission.

In the video that surfaced online, the former Vice President of Nigeria said that the decision of the Senate will cause confusion and chaos.

According to Atiku Abubakar;

“Nigerians were expecting real time transmission of results from various levels. But what we got was a mixture of electronic and manual transmission of results which is going to cause more confusion or chaos”.

Reacting, Lauretta Onochie criticized the decision of the Senate. She said the Senate didn’t act in the interest of the people of Nigeria but that of a paymaster.

According to Lauretta Onochie on her official X account;

“A collection of full time house boys acting in the interest of their paymaster”.
