Kioni Exposes Alleged Secret Pact Between Gachagua and Ruto

Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni has sensationally claimed that former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is secretly working with President William Ruto.

Kioni said Gachagua held a meeting with leaders in Narok County on an undisclosed date, where he attempted to justify why the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) had denied Narok Town Ward aspirant Joshua Ole Kaputa a ticket for the upcoming by-election.

Speaking to Hot 96’s Emmanuel Too on Sunday evening, Kioni revealed that about 15 people, including members of the clergy, attended the meeting. He alleged that Gachagua assured them of an arrangement with President Ruto, promising that Joshua would receive a nomination later.

“Gachagua told them that William Ruto has already sent emissaries to them and they had an arrangement to put their houses in order and then meet to have a discussion,” Kioni alleged.

“And he was saying ‘by that time I will have the 7 million votes from the mountain region, 1 million from Kalonzo and 800,000 from Matiang’i. I will now have more than half of the cake and I will share some of it with the Maasai community. So Joshua you should wait, we will nominate you.'”

Kioni declined to share more details about the secret meeting, insisting, “He said it himself. I will give you the date and hour the minute I leave this place (studio).”

He stressed that Jubilee is open to working with like-minded parties but will not align with anyone engaging in questionable political deals.

“We would like to work with like-minded parties that actually believe in sending William Ruto home, not in ‘get your people and I get mine’,” he remarked.

Kioni also called on young people to take advantage of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission’s (IEBC) continuous voter registration drive, which kicks off today, September 29.

“You must register and register in numbers. It makes no sense to be an active critic of the government and you fail to vote them out. Failure to that amounts to voting them in,” he urged.
