Kebbi State commissioner of police, Chris Aimionowane, has sought the cooperation of media practitioners under the umbrella of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) to combat criminal activities in the state.

Aimionowane made this request yesterday when he led senior police officers on a courtesy visit to the state Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) under the chairmanship of Comrade Garba Mohammed Yeldu at conference hall of the Correspondents Chapel in Birnin Kebbi metropolis.

The CP noted that there is no way any head of a national body like the police command can achieve the desired goals without the support and cooperation of the media.

He therefore called on all working journalists in the state to give him maximum support in order to excel.

The police boss said he had always had succeeeded through the support of the media..

The acting chairman of NUJ, Comrade Garba Yeldu, assured the CP of members’ support.
