Jey Uso attacks hip-hop star Cam’ron after contentious podcast interview

Here’s a case of work or shoot for you, but as is usually the case in pro wrestling, I’m betting big money on the former.

Jey Uso was a guest on It Is What It Is, a podcast hosted by hip-hop legends Cam’ron and Ma$e, this week to talk WrestleMania this weekend. Cam’ron takes issue with Jey saying he’s a better wrestler than The Rock (he does admit that Dwayne Johnson and Roman Reigns are bigger stars than he is), and then gets in a few digs about a drop-off in the Samoan Dynasty after Jey’s father Rikishi. Uce starts to fire back even as guest host Tryst Krick confirms he’s a fan of the both the Harlem rappers who regularly host the show, which brings some more heat from Cam’ron about how he’s tired of Ma$e bringing “WrestleMania Saturday” stars to the show when he wants main eventers.

The former WWE World Heavyweight champion decides to cut the interview short due to the tension, but as he’s leaving walks to where Cam’ron’s set-up, yanks him over the desk and starts to wail on him as Ma$e and security descend.

After Uso’s cleared out of the studio, Cam’ron, Ma$e, and Tryst then just break down what happened and even laugh about it a bit — something I can’t see happening after an assault occurred in public and on the air, even if Cam’ron didn’t want to press charges or sue.

Jey shows off the acting chops that had people screaming “Emmy” a couple years ago, and Cam reminds us he’s made some movies himself. But while credit for the sell, it still seems like this is set-up for a Cam’ron WrestleMania Saturday appearance after all, giving an assist to Logan Paul, Austin Theory, and fellow guest star IShowSpeed. There’s also concern in the Cageside “offices” that all the family talk could restart some intra-Bloodline issues that impact Sunday’s main event… but we imagine you may hear more about that elsewhere on this site soon.

Let us know what you make of Jey Uso’s run-in with Cam’ron on IIWII in the comments beneath video of Uce’s entire appearance and its aftermath.
