Jericho vs. HOOK, title bout added to AEW Dynasty

AEW’s X The card for AEW’s PPV this Sunday (April 21) in St. Louis grew over the course of tonight’s Dynamite. Two matches were added to the card for Dynasty, both of which have some significant build behind them. Chris Jericho’s offer to mentor HOOK finally and predictably blew up tonight (April 17) when Jericho reacted heel-ishly to the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil’s reluctance to sit under his learning tree. Jericho’s pitch became more and more arrogant, and led to him dissing Taz’s parenting skills when the ECW legend tried to get him to give his son a break. A shove sent the Human Suplex Machine down on his bad knee, and HOOK angrily told Jericho headed face him any time, anywhere... but for now he wanted the Ocho out of his ring. Tonight, on a very special HOOK. #AEWDynamite #AEWonTBS pic.twitter.com/Y3M92HyxKH— TDE Wrestling (@tde_gif) April 18, 2024 A short time later their match was added to this weekend’s line-up. AEW’s X

The card for AEW’s PPV this Sunday (April 21) in St.

A short time later their match was added to this weekend’s line-up. It will be for HOOK’s FTW belt.

A battle between Ring of Honor Six-Man Tag champs Bullet Club Gold and AEW Trios titleholders The Acclaimed & Daddy Ass has been brewing even longer. Their Bang Bang Scissor Gang supergroup never amounted to much, but we always knew it was leading to a title vs. title match. After some fiery promos on Dynamite...

... that’s set for Dynasty. Max Caster & Anthony Bowens will also face Austin & Colten Gunn in two-man tag action on Collision to get ready for this pre-show clash.

Here’s an updated look at the card for Sunday:

• Samoa Joe (c) vs. Swerve Strickland for the AEW World championship

• Toni Storm (c) vs. Thunder Rosa for the AEW Women’s World title

• Young Bucks vs. FTR in a ladder match for the vacant AEW World Tag Team championship:

• Julia Hart (c) vs. Willow Nightingale for the TBS title

• Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. PAC for the AEW Continental championship

• Roderick Strong (c) vs. Kyle O’Reilly for the AEW International title

• Bryan Danielson vs. Will Ospreay

• Adam Copeland, Mark Briscoe, & Eddie Kingston vs. House of Black

• HOOK (c) vs. Chris Jericho for the FTW championship

• The Acclaimed & Daddy Ass vs. Bullet Club Gold for the AEW Trios and ROH Six-Man titles

Let us know what you think of that line-up. If it entices you to part with your hard-earned cash, you can order Dynasty via Bleacher Report or Triller.TV.
