Israeli Artillery Fire Kills One, Injures Several in Khan Yunis

The attack claimed the life of one individual, referred to as a martyr, and left several others injured. Israeli Forces Storm Refugee Camp

Israeli forces reportedly stormed a refugee camp in the occupied West Bank to arrest suspected Palestinian militants. This resulted in the death of six Palestinians, including a 14-year-old boy and a local commander of the Al Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade. The event followed a surge in deadly military raids and an increase in restrictions on Palestinian residents across the West Bank during the ongoing Israel-Hamas war.

Civilian Interrogation and Arrests

The Israeli military has been rounding up Palestinian men in northern Gaza for interrogation, allegedly searching for Hamas militants. The detainees were seen sitting in rows on a street in northern Gaza, stripped down to their underwear, and blindfolded. The Israel Defense Forces have arrested civilians in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza, where they were forced to disrobe, blindfolded, put in trucks, and left on the seashore.

International Response and Humanitarian Crisis

The United States vetoed a United Nations resolution calling for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza. Meanwhile, the UK abstained from a Security Council resolution calling for the same. Amidst the conflict, the World Food Programme has reported difficulties in getting supplies to the hungry people in the Gaza Strip as Israel stepped up its attacks on the besieged enclave. The US has also asked Congress to approve the sale of 45,000 shells for Israel’s Merkava tanks for use in its war on Gaza.

The ongoing conflict has resulted in significant casualties, with Gaza's health authorities reporting 17,487 deaths since October 7. Over 1.8 million people in Gaza have been displaced by the fighting, and the situation remains tense as the world watches and waits for a resolution.
