Australian influencer Amber Luke has opened up about her decision to cancel plans to remove all her tattoos after seeing what she might look like without them.

According to Amber, it has been 10 years since she last saw her natural face without tattoos. She had initially planned to remove the ink completely by 2027 in hopes of returning to clear skin.

However, her plans changed after she used the AI tool from ChatGPT to generate an image of what her face could look like without the tattoos.

The result left her shocked.

Speaking about the experience, she said:

“I put my face into ChatGPT and asked it to remove all my tattoos.

“I absolutely hated what I saw.

“I f***king despised it.

“I am very glad I didn’t go through with it.

“I think, in the end, I was doing it more for everyone else’s benefit rather than my own.”

Amber had previously considered undergoing a full tattoo removal process, which she said could have involved using stem cells to help her skin recover from the intense procedure.

She explained:

“I was going to use stem cells to make healing a lot easier and quicker.

“It was the only thing that would regenerate my face after such an intense and painful experience.

“But I didn’t know if they were ethically sourced.

“I just felt wrong using them.”

The partial tattoo removal process she began was carried out through a collaboration with Xanadu Therapies, where Amber serves as an ambassador for the brand.

The treatment involved laser procedures on the delicate skin of her face. Amber described the process as “gnarly” and said she deliberately avoided using numbing cream so she could feel the burning and stinging sensations fully.

Instead of removing the tattoos completely, Amber has now decided to add more tattoos to her face.

Her new tattoos are also being done as part of a collaboration.

She explained:

“There’ll be a cover-up for my old life.

“I will have another face tattoo done soon on the other side.

“I don’t need to get many more – just a good banger to fill my face.

“I would like to also add something to the side of my other cheek – something similar to what I already have – but I’m not too sure yet.”
