The speaker of the Imo state house of assembly Kennedy Ibe has resigned his position as speaker.

He was said to have taken the decision after plans to impeach him continue to gather momentum .

The member representing Ehime Mbano state constituency Hon. Emeka Nduka has taken over as the new speaker of the house.

The development makes it the fourth time a speaker will be changed in the Imo assembly ever since Sen. Hope Uzomma became the governor of Imo state.
