Imo PDP Rejoices with Anyanwu on Re-election as National Secretary

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Imo State chapter, has congratulated its leader, Distinguished Senator Samuel Anyanwu, on his re-election as the party’s National Secretary at the recent National Convention held in Abuja, describing the development as a reward for his dedication and loyalty to the party.

In a press statement issued on Monday, the party commended Senator Anyanwu’s leadership qualities, courage, and steadfast commitment to the PDP, noting that his re-election reflects the confidence reposed in him by party leaders and members across the country.

The Imo PDP expressed optimism that the Ikeduru-born politician would continue to discharge his responsibilities effectively and contribute significantly to the party’s growth and success ahead of future elections.

The party also reserved special commendation for the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Governor Nyesom Wike, for his role in ensuring the success of the 2026 National Convention, which it described as well-organized and hitch-free.

Furthermore, the state chapter congratulated the newly elected National Chairman, Alhaji Abdulrahman Mohammed, and other members of the National Working Committee (NWC), pledging continued loyalty and support to the national leadership.

According to the statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Lancelot Obiaku, the successful convention is expected to promote unity, reconciliation, and renewed confidence among party faithful nationwide.

The party also called on prospective aspirants in Imo State to continue preparations for the forthcoming party primaries and urged members to intensify mobilization efforts, particularly through the ongoing electronic membership registration exercise, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
