I’m a Shopping Editor With an Overflowing Inbox — Here Are 24 New Launches Just in Time for Summer

As a shopping editor, I get infinite emails touting all of the latest and greatest product launches about to hit the market. And sometimes, products are so unique and niche that I don’t have the perfect place to include them. One of my favorite parts of writing and producing our Skimm Shopping newsletter is that I can create fun “grab bag” sections with a mix of everything. Think of this roundup as the long-form version of that. Note: Some of these products have been around, but are new to me.

A pleated skort from Splits59’s latest collection…

This skort is fully lined and has built-in shorts. While I love an exercise skort for workouts, where they really come in clutch is for hot summer days. This one is moisture-wicking and quick-drying, making it perfect for heat waves.

Jellycat’s summer-inspired collection…

I’m a firm believer that Jellycats are a whimsical gift for all ages — even adults. The May collection feels joyful and summery, with a rollerskating sun (need), a sweet pelican, a happy crab, and a cuddly manatee. Give them to any and all of the kids in your life or keep one on your bookshelf.

A luxe body cream that’d make an amazing gift…

If you’re running a little late on a Mother’s Day gift, might I suggest this new Geranium Rose Body Cream from Augustinus Bader? It’ll hydrate, lock in moisture, and strengthen the skin barrier. It’s perfect for the mom or friend who has just about everything (and she’d never think to buy this one for herself).

A new blush stick on the block…

Jones Road Beauty, Bobbi Brown’s latest venture, just dropped these Blushing Sticks. I like them because they’re sheer with buildable coverage, so you never have to worry about accidentally applying too much.

A hand-sanitizing mist from a brand I’m newly obsessed with…

I’m late to the party, but I’ve been loving Paume’s hand care lately. The brand just launched this mist version of its hand sanitizing gel. It’s perfect to keep in your bag or car, and I love how calming the scent is. Buy the Renewing Hand Serum while you’re at it for the softest hands of all time

The easiest way to apply scalp serum…

I usually forget to incorporate scalp serums into my routine because I find the whole experience deeply unenjoyable. I find that the serum gets everywhere except where I want it to and then I end up wasting product. This new serum pen from Vegamour has small rollerballs that’ll help deposit and massage in just the right amount.

The striped tee I can’t stop reaching for…

When this oversized tee from Free People came up on my feed, I knew I needed it for spring and summer. It’s cozy but not overly baggy, and is perfect for days when I don’t know what to wear, but I want to feel put-together. I love the contrast piping on the sleeves, too.

Another graphic tee that makes me feel cool…

Ever since Jennifer Lawrence and Sabrina Carpenter were spotted wearing Junk Food Clothing tees, I’ve been eyeing them. Each one has the best broken-in, vintage feel (even though they’re brand new). It’s the easiest piece to wear with denim shorts.

A gel moisturizer that’s saving my skin…

This new Skin Jelly from Sofie Pavitt Face is one of the only moisturizers that calms my skin during a perioral dermatitis flare-up. I get dryness, redness, and itchiness around my nose, and it’s gentle enough to hydrate without inflaming it even more. Wear it on its own or treat it like a hydrating serum.

A cookie brand I’m super excited about…

With these oat cookies from Joy Supply, you can have bakery-level treats at home. Pick from classic chocolate chip, salted peanut, classic oat, and white chocolate raspberry. They’re thin, crispy, and made of whole ingredients. Bring them along to your next housewarming party.

A guided journal that isn’t intimidating to use…

I can’t wait to reach for this collab between Sonsie x No Particular Order this summer. The prompts are inspired by Pamela Anderson’s “7 Rules of the Garden” and how you can grow going into new seasons. It’s compact, will fit in most bags, and comes with 49 prompts.

And a durable journal in bright colors…

Anecdote Goods has been around for a bit, but I’ve recently been integrating their journals into my everyday routine. I love how bright its fabric covers are — so they’ll never get lost in my bag — and they’re durable enough to withstand trips, spills, stains, you name it. Pick from lined and dotted pages.

The SPF skin tint that’s going viral…

When I saw Abbey Yung post about this product from Ciele Cosmetics, I knew I needed to test it out for myself. Tint & Protect is a serum-like skin tint that’ll give you a glass skin effect. It has buildable coverage, and I love that it has SPF 50+. I can always get behind having one less step in my skincare routine.

A portable fan from Dyson just in time for summer…

It’s a good year to be a girl who runs hot. Dyson just launched its HushJet, a mini cooling fan you can take on the go. It’s quiet, yet powerful, and because it’s so sleek, it’s easy to stash in your bag. Plus, it’ll last for up to six hours on a single charge.

Some nipple covers that are underrated…

I was recently reminded of my love for these nipple covers from Nippies. You can shop the brand on Amazon (so they’ll arrive quickly for an upcoming event), and I love that they come in a range of sizes and skin tones. My favorite detail: the lifting pull-tabs to ensure everything stays in place.

A period-friendly bath soak from Flewd…

I always keep a stash of these bath soaks from Flewd on hand. I love them for workout recovery, stress, or general aches and pains when I’m sick. The brand just launched these Cramp Deleting soaks, which are packed with vitamins B1 and B6 and magnesium to help minimize period-related pains.

A comfy pair of Mary Janes for every situation…

I don’t think I’ve ever disliked a pair of shoes from Rothy’s. The brand’s new Cruiser line might be my all-time favorite, since the quilted insoles are more cushiony and cloud-like than ever before. I can’t stop wearing these Mary Janes; they look great with everything from dresses to jeans. Use code THESKIMM20 at checkout for $20 off your first order of $100+.

A place to find designer homewares for less…

If you're like me and constantly changing up your space, then you need to know about this collaboration between Jonathan Adler and Michaels. You can find everything from design-forward crafting kits to decorative pillows at a fraction of the cost of Adler’s own line.

A solid substitute for an ice roller…

Dermaflash just released the Dermaflash Cool, a facial massage device with copper technology that gets ice cold in seconds, so you never have to put it in the freezer. It’ll depuff, sculpt, and cool your face. More than anything, I find it to be relaxing and soothing in the mornings.

A solid matcha powder for beginners…

Ever since I moved two years ago, I’ve been upping my at-home matcha setup. I’ve learned a lot about all kinds of teas and tools to make a good latte myself. I recently tried More Than Matcha’s blend from the brand’s relaunch, and it’s nutty, refreshing, and isn’t overly grassy. If you’re looking to try a basic, high-quality matcha powder, go for this one.

The best peanut butter I’ve ever tasted…

One Trick Pony’s peanut butter is the smoothest you’ll ever try. I love to drizzle it on yogurt and oatmeal. The packaging is unique, too; the lid is actually at the base of the jar so you don’t have to constantly stir it.

A carrying case I didn’t know I needed…

I’ve raved before about The Flat Lay Co.’s practical, yet spacious makeup bags and pouches. Because they’re geniuses, they just launched this To-Go Case. It’s a perfectly sized mini caddy you can keep in your bag or car to hold makeup, hand sanitizer, or other small essentials.

Paper plates that look like fine china…

Table Two Studio is a brand that’s new to me and is ideal for summer entertaining. They make design-forward plates in so many different colors, shapes, and sizes, and I love that they look luxe with minimal effort. They’d make for a fantastic gift, too.

A pair of sunglasses that look way more expensive than they are…

With warm weather almost here, I’m back to remind you not to forget about Quince’s line of sunglasses. This new pair has a chic oval-esque silhouette and reminds me of Le Specs. The best part? They’re only $50.
