I’ll not leave Como – Fabregas

Manager of Como 1907, Cesc Fabregas, has dismissed reports suggesting he could leave the club at the end of the season.

The Spanish tactician, who has been linked with a potential move to Chelsea FC, insisted he remains fully committed to the project at Como.

“I am very committed to this project. You never know, but right now I think it’s very unlikely I’ll leave Como,” Fabregas told the club’s official website.

He revealed that while he previously explored how other clubs operate, he ultimately chose to stay and continue building with Como.

“Last year, I wanted to see how other clubs operated. I mentioned it to the president, but I decided to stay. I’m very happy with what we’ve been able to achieve,” he said.

Describing the club as an important project, Fabregas emphasised that both his professional satisfaction and his family’s comfort play key roles in his decision to remain.

“This is an important project. I need to feel good here. It’s important that my family is happy, and if they’re happy in Como, I’ll stay,” he added.

The 38-year-old has impressed since taking charge in 2023, guiding Como into contention for a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League.
