In a video shared by Sahara TV, renowned music artist Eedris Abdulkareem voiced his discontent with Nigeria’s current political climate, criticizing former President Muhammadu Buhari and current President Bola Tinubu. Abdulkareem asserted that Tinubu, during Buhari’s presidency, missed an opportunity to address Nigeria’s pressing issues due to prioritizing his personal interests.

Abdulkareem’s comments come amid ongoing debates about the country’s economic challenges and wage disparities. He specifically highlighted the inadequacy of the proposed minimum wage of N65,000 for workers, suggesting that if the government cannot afford a N350,000 minimum wage for laborers, then Senators and House of Representatives members should also accept the proposed N65,000 minimum wage.

“When Muhammadu Buhari was the president, if Tinubu wanted to help him, he would have solved the problem, but he was all about his personal interests,” Abdulkareem stated. “If you truly care about Nigerians and you ask them to sacrifice, you need to sacrifice too. Your vice president needs to sacrifice, your senators and House of Representatives members need to sacrifice. If you cannot pay Labour N350,000, then let Senators and Reps accept the N65,000 that you are proposing. Let everybody be paid N65,000 so that we can all endure the suffering together.”
