I won’t tell anyone when I leave Portugal national team – Ronaldo

Al-Nassr’s top player Cristiano Ronaldo has shared his thoughts on retiring from the Portugal national team.

The Portugal coach, Martinez, has confirmed that Ronaldo is still a key player for the team as they prepare for the Euro Nations League.

Ronaldo has revealed that he is focused on supporting the team currently, but his retirement decision will be sudden and he will not announce it beforehand.

This statement was made in a special interview with NOW, airing on Jornal as 9 later today.

“I am immensely proud to represent our colours, it is a dream. Therefore, when I leave the national team I will not tell anyone beforehand, it will be a very spontaneous decision on my part, but also a very well thought out one. Right now, what I want is to be able to help the team.”

The former Sporting CP man is arguably the greatest international player of all time, having forged an exceptional legacy for his national team.
