Uriel Oputa, a former reality star, has said that caring for her dying mother taught her how to forgive.

In an Instagram story, she revealed that the last few days have been tough for her because she had to give her breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which prevented her from going anywhere else. Uriel noted that she felt unproductive, but it reminded her of one of the most important things she has learned to overcome: forgiveness.

The reality personality admitted that she had to forgive her mother for failing to take her high blood pressure medicine on time, which could have prevented her stroke and, later, vascular dementia.

She said she forgave her mother for likely not being there when she had children and for not being able to do her traditional rites when a woman gives birth. She added that she forgave herself for the way she acted at times, knowing she won’t be there.

Uriel added that over the years, she realized that she was carrying a lot of anger, and finally had to let it go. This experience is why she is so passionate about speaking on health and prevention, and she wants to make sure others don’t go through what she is going through because it is fucking hard.

“These last few days have been incredibly hard. Yesterday, I fed my mother breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which meant I couldn’t get to anything else. It left me feeling unproductive, but it reminded me of one of the biggest things I’ve overcome: forgiveness.

I had to forgive my mother. I forgave her for not taking her high blood pressure medication on time. Something that might have prevented her stroke and eventually, her vascular dementia. I forgave her for likely not being here when I have children and for not being able to do our traditional rites when a woman gives birth. And I forgave myself for the way I’d acted at times, knowing she wouldn’t be there. Over the years, I realized I was carrying a lot of anger, and I finally let it go.

This experience is why I’m so passionate about speaking on health and prevention. I want to make sure others don’t go through what I’m going through now.

Because it’s fucking hard.
I just want the old times”.
