Why I Tested...

How I Tested...

I used this soak twice over two months (during two of my cycles). I took notes on ease of use, pain relief, scent, and cleanup.

Test Results...

  • Ease of use. I never know how much of a soak to use in a bath, so the single-use pouches were very helpful. All I had to do was rip it open and dump an entire bag’s worth of bath salts into a full tub. I appreciated that I didn’t have to wait long for that soak to dissolve before jumping in. The instructions recommended a 15-minute soak at minimum, and no maximum, so I loved that I could soak for as long as I wanted. Once I was finished, I didn’t feel any soapy residue.

  • Pain relief. All in all, I’d say a two-hour soak (did I mention I love baths?) took my pain levels from an 8 to a solid 3. While my cramps weren’t completely gone, the soak’s formula (with magnesium, omega-6 GLA, aminos, and B vitamins) helped soothe that throbbing, achy feeling and any muscle spasms. I’m also happy to report that the pain didn’t come back at all during that month’s cycle after my first use, and I felt less on-edge overall. I’m not sure how much I can attribute that to the actual product versus indulging in a two-hour warm bath, but either way, I felt the effects.

  • Scent. This soak’s scent has notes of violet blooms, tea, and incense. It wasn’t too strong, but it was potent enough to put my mind and body at ease and filled my bathroom with a pleasant scent.

  • Cleanup. I’ve tried many bath bombs and soaks, but always hate the cleanup afterward. There’s always a thin layer of residue that I have to wash away afterward, but thankfully, I didn’t experience this at all with Flewd. My bathtub had zero residue and was easy to rinse once I was done. It’s also worth mentioning that since I have a heavier-than-normal flow, I made sure to use the restroom before beginning my soak.
