The man, whose video has now gone viral, shared the backstory, revealing that he ran onto the stage during Burna Boy’s performance but was immediately kicked by the artist.

According to him, he wanted to express his admiration for Burna Boy as a devoted fan by embracing him. He also stated that he hoped to use the moment to get noticed by the Grammy-winning singer, as he is also an aspiring musician and wanted a chance to perform at the show.

He admitted that the incident left him deeply embarrassed but expressed understanding for Burna Boy’s reaction, recognizing that the singer may have acted out of caution.

In his words, “I see my videos flying around about what happened between me and Burna Boy on stage. I didn’t mean to harm him; I just wanted to, you know, as a fan, embrace him. I didn’t know it would turn out that way.

“For those saying I wanted to harm him, that’s not true. I’m also a musician, and I just wanted to use the opportunity to ask for a chance to perform on his stage that day.

“I’ve been attending Burna Boy’s shows for a very long time. I’m one of his biggest fans, so that’s what happened. I feel so embarrassed, but I don’t blame him because only he knows what was on his mind at that moment.

This video surfaced online after popular billionaire businessman Cubana Chief Priest announced a cash reward for the victim, adding a twist to his saga between him and Burna Boy.

It is worth noting that Burna Boy and Cubana Chief Priest recently ignited heated fued online after Burna Boy reffered him as an Owerri Rick Ross.

In response, Chief Priest took a swipe at Burna Boy by offering a cash reward to the young man who had been kicked on stage by the City Boy crooner during his performance at the Greater Lagos event.
