HUNGER PROTEST: DIDI-OMAH'S WORDS ON NIGERIA'S NATIONAL FLAG SHOW WE ARE LOST & FOOLISH

Due to Nigeria’s hunger protests, Didi-Omah Augustine Chinazaekpere, 22-year-old, highlights the meaning behind Nigeria’s National Flag and calls for a return to agriculture, which he believes is the primary key to solving the country’s problems. He argues that the green in the flag represents agricultural wealth, and the white symbolizes peace. He urges the government to prioritize agriculture over oil and gas to bring peace and end hunger.

In the streets of Nigeria, people are protesting against hunger. They are angry about the high cost of living, food shortages, and the country’s bad economy. But during these protests, ex-blogger, Didi-Omah Augustine Chinazaekpere, just 22 years old, shared a powerful message. He spoke about Nigeria’s National Flag and how it reveals the real problem in the country.

Didi-Omah believes the green and white colors of the flag show Nigeria’s true identity. For him, the flag isn’t just a symbol; it’s a reminder of what the country really stands for. "The green color on our flag represents our agricultural wealth," Didi-Omah explains. "This was once the main source of income for our country. The white color stands for peace, something we all want but can't have without going back to our roots."

He thinks it’s foolish for Nigerians to protest against hunger when the solution is right in front of them. "We are foolish to protest about hunger when we have the land and agricultural resources to feed ourselves. The future may be digital, but our strength is in agriculture. Agriculture will bring the peace we are looking for," Didi-Omah says.

Didi-Omah is upset that the government has shifted focus from agriculture to oil and gas, which he believes has caused more problems. "Our politicians have made us depend heavily on oil and gas, which is the main cause of our issues. The government should fix the oil and gas sector, invest in education, and put agriculture above first if we want peace and an end to hunger."

Didi-Omah reminds Nigerians of a time when agriculture was the key to wealth and stability. He questions why the country now values foreign ideas and technologies more than its own history and resources. “Before we were formed to create Nigeria, check our history, it was agricultural products that sustain and generate wealths for our ancestors.”

“Why are we now being fools around with valuing what is not ours, the foreign, better than our ancient pathway.? he asks.

As protests continue, Didi-Omah’s message is clear: Nigerians need to look back to their land and their history for answers. He believes the green and white colors of the national flag not only represent the past but also hold the key to a better and more peaceful future—one that can be achieved by focusing on agriculture as our mainstay.
