Future Industrialists Initiative Connects Students with the Manufacturing Sector

Prince Faisal bin Bandar, Governor of Riyadh Region, has launched the “Future Industrialists” initiative, a national program designed to strengthen student engagement with the industrial sector and develop greater awareness of career opportunities within the Kingdom’s growing manufacturing industry.

The initiative supports efforts to prepare future generations for participation in one of the Kingdom’s most important economic sectors while contributing to workforce localization goals.

Partnership Between Industry and Education

The initiative is being implemented through a partnership between the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Education, and the Distinguished Initiatives Association.

Its objective is to identify and nurture young talent by providing students with practical exposure to industrial environments and emerging opportunities within the manufacturing sector.

Key programs include “Discover Our Factories” and the “Future Industrialists Hackathon,” both designed to connect academic learning with real-world industrial applications.

Broad Participation Across Schools and Factories

The initiative involves approximately 2,000 schools, six universities, and 60 factories across several regions, including Makkah, Qassim, and the Eastern Province.

In Riyadh alone, the program aims to reach 25,000 students through various educational and industrial engagement activities.

This broad participation reflects growing efforts to strengthen collaboration between educational institutions and industrial organizations.

More Than 100,000 Students Reached

Since its launch, the initiative has benefited more than 100,000 students from general education institutions across the Kingdom.

More than 25,000 students have participated in factory visits, while around 10,000 students have taken part in industrial hackathons and innovation-focused activities.

These figures demonstrate the initiative’s success in encouraging students to explore industrial careers and gain practical knowledge about the sector.

Supporting Vision 2030 Goals

The Future Industrialists initiative aligns with the objectives of Vision 2030 by developing national talent, increasing localization rates, and strengthening the Kingdom’s industrial workforce.

By introducing students to industrial careers at an early stage, the program helps build a future generation of skilled professionals capable of supporting continued industrial growth and enhancing the Kingdom’s competitiveness on both regional and global levels.
