FUTMINNA Post UTME/Direct Entry Screening Form for 2026/2027 Admission

Federal University of Technology, Minna, FUTMINNA, has announced the Registration and University's Pre-Admission Screening Exercise, UPASE, for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The registration will commence on Monday, 15 June 2026 and end at midnight on Sunday, 9 August 2026.

Who is eligible for FUTMINNA Post UTME/DE screening?

Only UTME and Direct Entry candidates who selected Federal University of Technology, Minna as first choice are eligible for the screening exercise.

UTME candidates must have a minimum score of 150, except for courses that carry higher cut-off marks and candidates may check the FUTMINNA cut-off mark guide before starting registration.

What O'Level requirement applies to all candidates?

All candidates must possess at least five O'Level credits, including Mathematics and English Language, in subjects relevant to their proposed courses.

The credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings.

Candidates should also ensure that their O'Level results are uploaded on the JAMB website through CAPS, since this is a stated requirement for the admission process.

What extra requirement applies to Direct Entry candidates?

Direct Entry candidates must possess a minimum of Lower Credit at National Diploma or Higher National Diploma level.

Candidates with NCE must possess at least Merit.

Can candidates change course during the admission process?

UTME candidates who scored 150 and above, but do not have the required UTME or O'Level subject combination for their chosen courses, are eligible to change to another course whose requirements they meet.

Candidates are to pay a non-refundable screening fee of Two Thousand Naira, N2,000 only.

The payment will be made through REMITA.

How can candidates apply for FUTMINNA UPASE?

Candidates should complete the online registration through the University portal and all entries should be checked before final submission.

Step 1: Verify eligibility and course requirements

Candidates should review the departmental requirements on the portal before starting the application.

The 2026/2027 O'Level and UTME requirements should be checked and the JAMB subject combination should match the chosen programme.

Step 2: Start the application

Candidates should locate the UPASE login section on the portal.

They will enter their JAMB Registration Number and JAMB score, then validate their eligibility as first-choice candidates who met the minimum score.

Step 3: Generate REMITA invoice and pay

After login, candidates should verify their profile information and proceed to the payment tab.

A unique Remita Retrieval Reference, RRR, invoice will be generated and payment of the N2,000 screening fee may be made online with a debit card, through internet banking or by presenting the invoice at a commercial bank branch.

Step 4: Complete the online registration form

Candidates should return to the portal and log in to confirm payment status.

They should fill all required fields with correct personal and contact details, since false information or impersonation will lead to immediate disqualification from the admission process.

Step 5: Upload O'Level result and documents

Candidates should enter their verified O'Level grades from WAEC, NECO or NABTEB.

Candidates awaiting results may proceed with the application, but they must update their results on the portal immediately after release.

Step 6: Review and print the registration slip

Candidates should carefully review all entries before submission.

After submission, they should download and print the FUTMINNA UPASE Registration Slip as proof of successful application and the slip should be kept safely for future physical clearance.

When will FUTMINNA UPASE registration close?

The application window will close at midnight on Sunday, 9 August 2026.
