Rivers State governor, Siminalayi Fubara says he will sustain the development strides of his predecessor, Nyesom Wike.

Governor Fubara spoke at his inauguration dinner that held at Government House in Port Harcourt on Monday night.

The governor said he will not leave any sector unattended and will also not exclude critical sessions of the Rivers community in delivering democratic dividend.

Governor Fubara assured that his administration will run an open-door policy and will be conserted in serving the interest of Rivers State in order to sustain its place in the comity of States in the country.

The Rivers State governor also reiterated his loyalty to his immediate predecessor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for contributing immensely to his political elevation.

He acknowledged that his path to political success is guaranteed with Wike.

Governor Fubara stated the rough drove his political career was greeted but triumphed eventually.

He attributed those victories first to the special grace of God and former governor Wike who was the human instrument that God used to make the journey easy.

The governor also recalled his supposed ordeal experienced in the hands of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and said God for how the intervention and stance of Wike on the matter surmounted the attack on him.

Former Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike said he is confident of the persons into whose hands he has left the affairs of the state. 

He expressed the confidence that governor Fubara and his team will continue to defend the good of Rivers State.
