Frankfurt in talks to sign Onyedika from Club Brugge

Eintracht Frankfurt have opened discussions with Belgian Pro League side Club Brugge over the signing of Nigerian midfielder Raphael Onyedika.

Sky Sports journalist Patrick Berger reports that the Bundesliga club are exploring a loan deal with an obligation to buy the 24-year-old.

“Eintracht Frankfurt are in talks to sign Raphael Onyedika (24) from Club Brugge,” Berger posted on X. 

“New round of negotiations expected after the Bundesliga game vs Hoffenheim. Loan with obligation to buy discussed – but deal remains complicated. #SGE are also exploring other midfield options. Onyedika one of the options on the list.”

Turkish champions Galatasaray are also keen on securing the services of the Nigeria international, setting up potential transfer competition.

Onyedika joined Club Brugge in 2022 from Danish Superliga side Midtjylland and has since established himself as a key figure in their midfield.
